Zheng Yongnian, director of the East Asia Institute of National University of Singapore, said in a column on the local Lianhe Zaobao newspaper that what China has sought is the improvement of the existing international framework instead of radical revolution of the system.


China has implemented the reform and opening up policy to blend into the U.S.-defined international order, Zheng said, adding that the East Asian nation has played an increasingly important role in it.

PHNOM PENH, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian authorities have arrested two Nigerian men for allegedly smuggling one kilo of cocaine into Cambodia, according to an Interior Ministry's Anti-Drug Department report on Sunday.


Okoro Chukwuka Boniface, 28, and Obiora Dozie Frank Dzanan Musa Jersey , 33, were caught by anti-drug police officers on Thursday in Phnom Penh after they imported the illicit drug from Colombia, the report said.
