The New York Giants have signed guard Zac Kerin and waived first-year offensive lineman Ethan Cooper.
The Giants announced the moves Thursday Alex McGough Jersey , less than two weeks before the opening of training camp.
Kerin has played in 14 regular-season games with one start, and one postseason game. He was signed as a rookie free agent by Minnesota in 2014 and spent that season on the Vikings' practice squad. He appeared in 13 games for Minnesota over the next two seasons. He was signed by Detroit Lions last season and started one game.
Cooper was on the Giants' practice squad from Oct. 11, 2016 to the end of the season. He did not make the Pittsburgh Steelers' roster last year. He has never played in a regular-season game.
The Seahawks moved George Fant to right tackle last week to compete with Germain Ifedi.
Ifedi started Friday’s preseason game Josh Hill Jersey , and according to Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, the former first-round pick has responded to the challenge.
“I think he’s doing well. He’s doing really well,” Carroll said Peyton Barber Jersey , via Brady Henderson of ESPN. “He’s really cleaned up his game. He’s playing hard. He’s got some technique things that he’s working on that show up. You can tell that he is. I think he’s responding well.”
Ifedi played 23 snaps against the Vikings and Fant a team-offensive high 43. Ifedi helped pave the way for Chris Carson to get into the end zone on a 6-yard run.
“He did fine,” Carroll said of Ifedi’s performance. “He played a very solid game.”
