Ranking every team's 2018 NFL draft class Picks:
DE Bradley Chubb (5th)
WR Courtland Sutton (40th)
RB Royce Freeman (71st)
DB Isaac Yiadom (99th)
LB Josey Jewell (106th)
WR DaeSean Hamilton (113th)
TE Troy Fumagalli (156th)
OG Sam Jones (183rd)
LB Keishawn Bierria (217th)
RB David Williams (226th)Denver did the right thing and didn't go out of its way to get a quarterback. Instead, GM John Elway let the draft come to him and ended up finding value with almost every pick he made. Chubb might be the best player in the class. Sutton has first-round talent and fills a future need. Freeman will produce early on. Fumagalli, Jewell and Hamilton have the potential to grow into starters. The Broncos added a lot of young talent over the weekend - all at positions of need.Picks:
RB Saquon Barkley (2nd)
OG Will Hernandez (34th)
LB Lorenzo Carter (66th)
DT B.J. Hill (69th)
QB Kyle Lauletta (108th)
DT R.J. McIntosh (139rd)Lauletta is the key to this class. We're high on the Richmond quarterback, who may not wow you with his arm but excels at all the little things that make a great quarterback. If he develops into the starter, it will make Dave Gettleman look like a genius for passing on the top QB prospects to take Barkley, the draft's most talented player. Hernandez should walk into New York's starting lineup.Picks:
OT Kolton Miller (15th)
DT P.J. Hall (57th)
OT Brandon Parker (65th)
DE Arden Key (87th)
CB Nick Nelson (110th)
DT Maurice Hurst (140th)
P Johnny Townsend (173rd)
LB Azeem Victor (216th)
WR Marcell Ateman (228th)The Raiders' draft got off to a bad start. Taking Miller in the first was a major reach. Hall and Parker were underwhelming picks, as well. But Reggie McKenzie worked his magic in the middle rounds. Hurst is a top-10 talent who slid because of health concerns. Key was considered a top-five talent this time last year for a reason. Nelson is a solid corner who will carve out a long career. While Oakland's class could have been even better had it made smarter picks in the early rounds, this is still one of the more talented groups on the list, and we're not judging teams on how efficient they were with their selections.Picks:
DT Da'Ron Payne (13th)
RB Derrius Guice (59th)
OT Geron Christian (74th)
S Troy Apke (109th)
DT Tim Settle (163rd)
LB Shaun Dion Hamilton (197th)
CB Greg Stroman (241st)
WR Trey Quinn (256th)The Redskins may have reached for Payne, but he could very well develop into the draft's best defensive tackle. And Guice was considered to be the best running-back-not-named-Saquon but fell due to character concerns that may not be valid. Don't sleep on Settle, a massive run stuffer who can affect the quarterback when engaged. Christian adds depth to the offensive line.Picks:
CB Jaire Alexander (18th)
CB Josh Jackson (45th)
LB Oren Burks (88th)
WR J'Mon Moore (133rd)
OG Cole Madison (138th)
P J.K. Scott (172nd)
WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (174th)
WR Equanimeous St. Brown (207th)
DT James Looney (232nd)
LS Hunter Bradley (239th)
LB Kendall Donnerson (248th)The Packers traded down, added a 2019 first-round pick and still came away with two of the best cornerbacks in this class. Landing St. Brown late puts this group over the top. Aaron Rodgers can Matthias Farley Jersey Cheap turn him into a star.Picks:
LB Roquan Smith (No. 8)
C/G James Daniels (No. 39)
WR Anthony TY Hilton Authentic Jersey Miller (No. 51)
LB Joel Iyiegbuniwe (No. 115)
DE Bilal Nichols (No. 145)
LB Kylie Fitts (No. 181)
WR Javon Wims (No. 224)The bottom-half of Chicago's draft isn't super impressive but those first three picks have a chance to be really good. Smith adds speed to the second level of the defense. Daniels will play guard and give the Bears a good mover in the run game. And Miller has an Antonio Brown-like skill set.Picks:
QB Josh Rosen (10th)
WR Christian Kirk (47th)
C Mason Cole (97th)
RB Chase Edmonds (134th)
DB Christian Campbell (182nd)
OT Korey Cunningham (254th)The Cardinals landed the draft's best quarterback and gave him a reliable slot target who will spend the next year learning from Larry Fitzgerald. Cole gives Arizona a replacement for A.Q. Shipley. The Cardinals needed even more help on the offensive line, but Rosen and Kirk were too talented to pass up and it's irrational to expect the front office to fill all of its needs in one draft.Picks:
TE Hayden Hurst (25th)
QB Lamar Jackson (32nd),
OT Orlando Brown (83rd)
TE Mark Andrews (86th)
CB Anthony Averett (118th)
LB Kenny Young (122nd)
WR Jaleel Scott (132nd)
WR Jordan Lasley (162nd)
S DeShon Elliott (190th)
OT Greg Senat (No. 212),
C Bradley Bozeman (215th)
DE Zach Sieler (238th)So. Many. Picks. And the Ravens weren't shy about doubling up. Baltimore drafted two tight ends, two offensive tackles and two wide receivers. We didn't love every pick - a 25-year-old tight end in the first round?!?!? - but Jackson, Brown, Andrews and Lasley could give the Ravens a talented, young core on offense in about three years.Picks:
C Billy Price (No. 21)
S Jessie Bates (No. 54)
DE Sam Hubbard (No. 77)
LB Malik Jefferson (No. 78 )
RB Mark Walton (No. 112)
DB Davontae Harris (No. 151)
DT Andrew Brown (No. 158)
CB Darius Phillips (No. 170)
QB Logan Woodside (No. 249)
OG Rod Taylor (No. 252)
WR Auden Tate (No. 253)The Bengals filled needs while not having to deviate from their board. That's a successful draft. Price can play anywhere on the line. Bates will make an impact at safety almost immediately. Hubbard is a solid rotational pass rusher, which is all you're looking for in a third-round pick. Walton will offer a nice change-of-pace for Joe Mixon. And Jefferson could be a Pro Bowler if he's coached well enough.Picks:
S Derwin James (17th)
LB Uchenna Nwosu (48th)
DT Justin Jones (84th)
S/LB Kyzir White (119th)
C Scott Quessenberry (155th)
WR Dylan Cantrell (191st)
RB Justin Jackson (251st)The Chargers' front office has a clear vision: Keep loading up the defense with talent. James gives Los Angeles a scary secondary to go along with one of the league's best (maybe THE best) pass-rushing duos in Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram.Picks:
WR Calvin Ridley (26th)
CB Isaiah Oliver (58th)
DT Deadrin Senat (90th)
RB Ito Smith (126th)
WR Russell Gage (194th)
LB Foyesade Oluokun (200th)Outside of quarterback, every position is a position need for NFL teams due to roster turnover. So we like the Falcons' decision to grab Ridley in the first round despite having plenty of receiving talent already in place. Oliver has first-round ability and is exactly the kind of corner Dan Quinn wants. Senat and Smith are sleepers. The former should play right away. The latter will be a replacement for Tevin Coleman, who is a free agent next offseason.Picks:
LB Leighton Vander Esch (19th)
OG Connor Williams (50th)
WR Michael Gallup (81st)
DE Dorance Armstrong (116th)
TE Dalton Schultz (137th)
QB Mike White (171st)
LB Chris Covington (193rd)
WR Cedrick Wilson (208th)
RB Bo Scarbrough (236th)The Cowboys Marlon Mack White Elite Jersey nailed their first three picks, picking up the msot complete linebacker prospect in the class, a talented blocker who adds depth and a receiver who could replace Dez Bryant on the outside. Schultz and Scarbrough could make this a special class if they pan out.Picks:
QB Baker Mayfield (1st)
CB Denzel Ward (4th)
OG Austin Corbett (33rd)
RB Nick Chubb (35th)
DE Chad Thomas (67th)
WR Antonio Callaway (105th)
LB Genard Avery (150th)
WR Damion Ratley (175th)
CB Simeon Thomas (188th)Given the capital Cleveland entered the draft with, ranking this low has to be considered a failure for the new front office. Quenton Nelson, Chubb and Barkley were considered the three best prospects in the draft. The Browns owned two of the top-four picks and didn't end up with any of them. Mayfield could develop into a good quarterback, but he wasn't the best available in this class. Ward is a fantastic corner prospect but lacks size, which could hold him back from ever being a true lockdown guy on the outside.Picks:
DT Taven Bryan (29th)
WR D.J. Chark (61st)
S Ronnie Harrison (93rd)
OT Will Richardson (129th)
QB Tanner Lee (203rd)
LB Leon Jacobs (230th)
P Logan Cooke (247th)The top-half of this class is as good as any you'll see on this list. Bryan, Chark and Harrison will help the front office keep the team's best players in town as they head toward the end of their contracts. Not drafting a QB to compete with Blake Bortles was a mistake, though. And, no, Lee does not count as competition. Just ask Nebraska fans.Picks:
DT Vita Vea (12th)
RB Ronald Jones (38th)
DB M.J. Stewart (53rd)
CB Carlton Davis (63rd)
OG Alex Cappa (94th)
S Jordan Whitehead (117th)
WR Justin Watson (144th)
LB Jack Cichy (202nd)Vea wasn't a great value at No. 12, but he does make the defensive line better. Jones fills a need and has talent. Cappa is a nasty blocker who needs some refinement. Overall, it was a solid draft for a team that desperately needed one.Picks:
LB Rashaan Evans (22nd)
DE Harold Landry (41th)
S Dane Cruikshank (152nd)
QB Luke Falk (199th)That the Titans landed in the top-half of these rankings with only four picks is a minor miracle. Evans and Landry will be valuable chess pieces on third downs for new coach Mike Vrabel. And Evans will help the team's run defense on early downs. Falk gives the team a reliable backup for the first time in a long time.Picks:
DB Minkah Fitzpatrick (11th)
TE Mike Gesicki (42nd)
LB Jerome Baker (73rd)
TE Durham Smythe (123rd)
RB Kalen Ballage (131st)
S Cornell Armstrong (209th)
LB Quentin Polling (227th)
K Jason Sanders (229th)Miami landing this high is based solely on it picking Fitzpatrick, a do-it-all defensive back who had no business slipping out of the top 10. Or even the top five. Gesicki could be a player if utilized correctly. The rest of this class is just "meh."Picks:
OT Mike McGlinchey (9th)
WR Dante Pettis (44th)
LB Fred Warner (70th)
S Tarvarius Moore (95th)
DE Kentavius Street (128th)
DB D.J. Reed (142nd)
DB Marcell Harris (184th)
DT Jullian Taylor (223rd)
WR Richie James (240th)While I like the fits for both McGlinchey and Pettis, the 49ers did reach for both of them. The rest of the picks were made to add depth to the defense, which isn't a bad strategy.Picks:
CB Mike Hughes (30th)
OT Brian O'Neill (62nd)
DE Jalyn Holmes (102nd)
TE Tyler Conklin (157th)
K Daniel Carlson (167th)
OG Colby Gossett (213rd)
DE Ade Aruna (218th)
LB Devante Downs (225th)The Vikings didn't have a lot draft capital to work with but still ended up with a number of intriguing prospects. Most notably O'Neill who needs a lot of coaching but has elite athletic traits. His development will make or break this class.Picks:
WR D.J. Moore (24th)
CB Donte Jackson (55th)
DB Rashaan Gaulden (No. 85)
TE Ian Thomas (No. 101)
LB Marquis Haynes (No. 136)
LB Jermaine Carter (161st)
LB Andre Smith (234th)
DT Kendrick Norton (242nd)The first two picks made a lot of sense. Moore gives the Panthers a playmaker on the outside. Jackson adds speed to the secondary. But outside of the Thomas pick, the rest of this class will have a hard time seeing the field.Picks:
S Justin Reid (68th)
OT Martinas Rankin (80th)
TE Jordan Akins (98th)
WR Keke Coutee (No. 103rd)
LB Duke Ejiofor (177th)
TE Jordan Thomas (211th)
LB Peter Kalambayi (214th)
CB Jermaine Kelly (Matthias Farley Jersey Cheap nd)This is the first of the three teams without a first-round pick to appear in these rankings. You wouldn't know Houston had to wait until the third round to make its first pick based on its haul. Reid has first-round talent. Rankin was expected by many to go higher than he did. Coutee, a fourth-round pick, will be a weapon for Deshaun Watson.Picks:
C Frank Ragnow (20th)
RB Kerryon Johnson (43rd)
DB Tracy Walker (82nd)
DT Da'Shawn Hand (114th)
OT Tyrell Crosby (153rd)
RB Nick Bawden (237th)The Lions reached for both Ragnow and Johnson, but Hand and Crosby were value picks who could make this ranking look foolish in a couple of years. We've ranked Detroit 23rd but would not be surprised if this is a top-15 class when all is said and done.Denny Medley-USA TODAY SportsPicks:
OG Quenton Nelson (6th)
LB Darius Leonard (36th)
OG Braden Smith (37th)
DE Kemoko Turay (52nd)
DE Tyquan Lewis (64th)
RB Nyheim Hines (104th)
WR Daurice Fountain (159th)
RB Jordan Wilkins (169th)
WR Deon Cain (185th)
LB Matthew Adams (221st)
LB Zaire Franklin (235th)The Nelson pick was a no-brainer but the rest of the selections left us scratching our heads. Leonard is an FCS prospect who might not have the strength to be a three-down NFL linebacker. Smith is a low-ceiling player who was drafted a round too soon.Picks:
TE Dallas Goedert (49th)
CB Avonte Maddox (125th)
DE Josh Sweat (130th)
OT Matt Pryor (206th)
OT Jordan Mailata (233rd)The Eagles didn't have a lot to work with but still managed to plug a few holes. Goedert should be an adequate replacement for Trey Burton. Sweat is a stud with injury concerns. If healthy, he's a first-round talent that will make that Philly line even scarier than it already is.Picks:
QB Sam Darnold (3rd)
DT Nathan Shepherd (72nd)
TE Christopher Herndon (107th)
CB Parry Nickerson (179th)
DT Folorunso Fatukasi (180th)
RB Trenton Cannon (204th)The Jets landing a franchise QB is the only reason they're not ranked in the bottom tree. Of course, New York gave up a lot of picks to draft the USC product, which was always going to hurt the rest of this class.Picks:
QB Josh Allen (7th)
LB Tremaine Edmunds (16th)
DT Harrison Phillips (96th)
DB Taron Johnson (121st)
DB Siran Neal (154th)
OG Wyatt Teller (166th)
WR Ray-Ray McCloud (187th)
WR Austin Proehl (255th)This class would rank A LOT higher if Allen wasn't sitting at the top of it. Edmunds could turn into an All-Pro; but, like Allen, he's raw and will need time to develop. Phillips will help a run defense that imploded after Marcell Dareus was traded. Getting Teller with the 166th was a steal.Picks:
OT Isaiah Wynn (23rd)
RB Sony Michel (31st)
CB Duke Dawson (56th)
LB Ja'Whaun Bentley (143rd)
LB Christian Sam (178th)
WR Braxton Berrios (210th)
QB Danny Etling (219th)
DB Keion Crossen (243rd)
TE Ryan Izzo (250nd)This looks like yet another underwhelming draft class for Bill Belichick, which is becoming a troublesome trend. Wynn is expected to play tackle but might not have the build to do so. Drafting a running back in the first round rarely works out. And the Pats passed on a number of talented prospects to take Dawson a round before he was expected to go. For Pats fans' sake, we hope Etling wasn't taken to be Tom Brady's eventual successor.Picks:
S Terrell Edmunds (28th)
WR James Washington (60th)
QB Mason Rudolph (76th)
OT Chukwuma Okorafor (92nd)
S Marcus Allen (148th)
RB Jaylen Samuels (165th)
DT Joshua Frazier (246th)Outside of the Washington pick - he'll be a fine replacement for Martavis Bryant as the team's deep threat - this is a lackluster haul for Pittsburgh. Edmunds could have been had in the second, or even third, round. Rudolph struggles with his accuracy, doesn't have a lot of arm strength and can't move. Allen is a younger, slower version of Mike Mitchell. Is that a good thing?Picks:
RB Rashaad Penny (27th)
DE Rasheem Green (79th)
TE Will Dissly (120th)
LB Shaquem Griffin (141st)
DB Tre Flowers (146th)
P Michael Dickson (149th)
OT Jamarco Jones (168th)
DE Jacob Martin (186th)
QB Alex McGough (220th)The last thing the Seahawks needed was a first-round running back. Once again, Seattle's line will be a mess after the front office ignored it in this draft. Griffin is the saving grace for this class, and even he has major question marks.Picks:
OT Joseph Noteboom (89th)
C Brian Allen (Nike Malik Hooker Jersey On Sale th)
DE John Franklin-Myers (135th)
LB Micah Kiser (147th)
LB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (160th)
RB John Kelly (176th)
OG Jamil Demby (192nd)
DT Sebastian Joseph (195th)
LB Trevon Young (205th)
LB Travin Howard (231st)
DE Justin Lawler (244th)The Rams did well for a team that had Nike Malik Hooker Jersey On Sale to wait until the 89th pick to draft. Unfortunately, we're ranking teams based on how much talent they brought in, and Los Angeles didn't add a lot of high-level talent over the weekend. Not that the roster needed more talent after a prolific offseason.Picks:
LB Breeland Speaks (46th)
DT Derrick Nnadi (75th)
LB Dorian O'Daniel (100th)
S Armani Watts (124th)
CB Tremon Smith (196th)
OG Kahlil McKenzie (198th)Same goes for the Chiefs. Kansas City had less to work with than almost every other team. Speaks and Nnandi could turn into good players but neither will be a difference maker.Picks:
DE Marcus Davenport (14th)
WR Tre'Quan Smith (91st)
OT Rick Leonard (127th)
S Natrell Jamerson (164th)
DB Kamrin Moore (189th)
RB Boston Scott (201st)
C Will Clapp (245th)What an odd draft. Sure, New Orleans needed another defensive end to line up opposite of Cameron Jordan, but this team is in win-now mode and Davenport will need time to develop. Giving up so much draft capital to take him was a mistake.MORE:How LaVar Ball's coaching feud and the Ball brothers' experience unfolded in LithuaniaHow LaVar Ball's coaching feud and the Ball brothers' experience unfolded in LithuaniaCC Sabathia gets into heated shouting match with umpire Angel HernandezBrazilian surfer broke Andrew Luck White Elite Jersey the world record for surfing an absurd 80-foot waveZach Banner Jersey Customize Colts Jersey Tyson Graham Jr Jersey John Simon Jersey Nate Hairston Jersey Akeem Ayers Jersey Chris Milton Jersey Jabaal Sheard Jersey Tyvis Powell Jersey Ryan Kelly Jersey Blake Muir Jersey Deyshawn Bond Jersey Rigoberto Sanchez Jersey Joe Haeg Jersey Fred Brown Jersey
