We are 4 days away from the beginning of the Carolina Panthers 2018 season. He put up a good fight, but ultimately Heinecke brings more to the table in terms of mobility, and only gives up a little to Gilbert from a pure passing perspective. Unfortunately for Garrett, the team appears to have seen enough of him, electing to put 4th string QB Kyle Allen on the practice squad rather than continue to roll with him.
