BERLIN, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Monchengladbach clinched the first place in Group A by beating FC Zurich 3-0 on home soil in UEFA Europa League's last round of the group stages on Thursday.


Borussia Monchengladbach secured the top spot in Group A and their berth in the round of the last 32 as they cruised to a 3-0 over hapless FC Zurich thanks to the brace by Sweden international Branimir Hrgota in front of 44 Eddie Goldman Jersey ,323 spectators at the Borussia-Park.


Zurich will have to focus on domestic matters as second placed Villarreal joins the "Foals" in Europa League's last 32.

The hosts were not done with the scoring, particularly Hrgota had an ace in the hole as he wrapped up his second goal of the evening by collecting Granit Xhaka's free-kick into the box to beat onrushing goalie Costa with a lob five minutes later.


Zurich lacked in penetration and gained never a foothold into the game against commanding hosts, who remain unbeaten in Group A by earning three victories from six games.
