t all NFL bubble players do: wondering Indianapolis Colts Hoodie , worrying — and, most importantly, refreshing his phone."All day. Every second hitting refresh, refresh the Twitter page or whatever you got to do," Crossen said Sunday after making the New England Patriots' final roster as a seventh-round draft pick. Then came 4 p.m. Saturday — and the phone did not ring."It didn't ring. That's a good sign," said Crossen, who spent the day with some teammates, two of whom didn't make it.The cornerback from Western Carolina, once a 147-pound high school quarterback, had made it to the opening roster of a team seeking its sixth Super Bowl win this century."I enjoyed it at 4:01 and I'm ready right now," he said. "I was focused at 4:02 to get started for Houston week."He added he had trouble sleeping both Friday and Saturday nights, the first night worrying and then looking ahead."As the business goes, you gotta move on, you gotta prepare Youth Customized Indianapolis Colts Jerseys , you can't let your mind stay in yesterday," he said. "Moving forward for me is a big deal, especially for me coming in Week 1 as a rookie, I want to make sure I know as much as I need to know going into Game 1."(Saturday night) I was just more focused on getting to know my opponent. That's the reason I couldn't sleep, because I wanted to know my opponent as much as I could before I get with the coaches and everything."The opponent for Week 1 is Deshaun Watson, the mobile Texans quarterback who can drive a defense crazy. That's enough for even a veteran to worry about/In a strange twist to the story, Crossen said he didn't tell his parents, Winnie and Thomas, until Sunday morning that he made the cut - and added they didn't know until he told them."They're happy parents," he said. "They enjoyed that I get to enjoy my dream. They just hoped the best for me. They did not know ... my mom cried, my dad's a little tough, so he played a little hardball. But they're happy, they're definitely happy."I didn't call anyone . the last 24 hours I've just been waiting. So I kinda knew, I guess www.coltsauthorizedshops.com , when you all knew, and I'm very happy to be here and I'm ready to get started."Crossen dressed in a corner of the locker room with three other young players. Their names, including A.J. Moore and John Atkins, who didn't make the squad, were gone when he came in Sunday morning. Asked if that was different, he said, "It is. It is, very different. But I'm ready to play, focusing on this week and focusing on what I can do to make the team better."It's always tough (seeing guys go). I know as a rookie class you come in together, some go and some stay, but at the end of the day I wish everyone who's not here the best and everyone who is here, (to) have a great season."And now, borrowing a Bill Belichick phrase, it's on to Houston."I don't know what to anticipate Indianapolis Colts Womens T-Shirt ," Crossen said. "Obviously still a rookie, still learning. I'm just kind of go with the flow. I know we're going to practice, I definitely know that, so only control what I can control and work hard every day."It's a joy to be here."NOTES: The Patriots claimed WR Amara Darboh off waivers from Seattle and WR Chad Hansen off waivers from the Jets. Darboh, 24, was a third-round draft pick (106th overall) in 2017 by Seattle out of Michigan and appeared in all 16 games last year with eight receptions for 71 yards. Hansen, 23, was drafted in the fourth round last year out of California. He played in 15 regular-season games with one start last year and made nine receptions for 94 yards. ... Eight players were signed to the practice squad: OL Cole Croston, QB Danny Etling, OL James Ferentz, DL Trent Harris, WR Riley McCarron, DT Vincent Valentine, RB Ralph Webb and CB Jomal Wiltz. All of those players were with the team for training camp. ... The Patriots placed 2018 seventh-round draft pick TE Ryan Izzo on injured reserve. The Indianapolis Colts are sitting at their bye week with a 3-5 record. It has been an up and down season but there has been no shortage of great plays. I know the bye week can be tough without Colts football so let’s reflect on some of the best plays at the midway point of the season. Players like Nyheim Hines Indianapolis Colts Hats , Eric Ebron, and Darius Leonard have been excellent additions and they are seen all over this top ten list. If you think that my rankings were off or want to include your own rankings, please do so in the comments section. 10.) Marlon Mack untouched for 6The Colts’ offense was rolling against the Bills as Andrew Luck threw for 4 touchdowns. This was a simple check down to running back Marlon Mack and he burst up the sideline for the easy touchdown. Mack has been playing at a very high level the last three weeks heading into the bye. 9.) Darius Leonard clinches the win in WashingtonDarius Leonard has been outstanding this season. In week 2 against the Washington Redskins, he took over the game from start to finish. Late in the game with Washington driving for one last chance at a come back, Leonard shut the door with a big forced fumble.8.) Malik Hooker doing what he does bestThere have been many questions this season regarding where Malik Hooker has gone. He has had a relatively quiet season in Matt Eberflus’ new defensive scheme. Against the Jets though, Hooker reminded fans that he is still a ball hawk in the secondary. 7.) Eric Ebron continues his stellar playThe Colts were in an offensive dog fight with the Raiders last week. The Raiders had all the momentum in the third quarter until this big touchdown catch by Ebron. Ebron has proved time and again that he is one of Andrew Luck’s most reliable targets.6.) Nyheim Hines spins his way to his first career touchdownHines had a very rough preseason for the Colts. He had trouble on special teams and did very little on offense. Once regular season play started, Hines turned into a dynamic offensive weapon. Obviously, his number change to 21 made all of the difference.5.) The return of Jack DoyleThis season has been rough for fan favorite Jack Doyle. After a costly fumble in week one against the Bengals, Doyle barely played until week 7 due to injury. He returned to form in a big way against the Raiders. This touchdown is a reminder that the Pro Bowl tight end is still a valuable piece in this offense. 4.) The Estonian Giant does it allMargus Hunt has been a revelation this season. A former second round pick of the Bengals, Hunt found his way to the Colts after a few unsuccessful seasons. Under new DC Matt Eberflus, Hunt has become everything the Bengals hoped he would. This play is the perfect example of that. 3.) Nyheim Hines soars for the touchdownWith the Colts forced to comeback against division rivals Houston Texans, quarterback Andrew Luck put his trust into Hines. He threw a goal line fade to a 5’8” running back against Tyrann Mathieu... and it somehow worked. Hines pulls of the incredible catch for the touchdown.2.) MO ALIE-COX DID WHAT?!?!Mo Alie-Cox had people around the NFL saying his amazing name after this catch. The former VCU power forward showed off his basketball skills on this incredible catch. This may be a top ten play of the year for the NFL at this point but it is not number one on this list.1.) Darius Leonard saves the seasonThe Colts’ defense could not stop the Raiders throughout the entire game. Needing a win against one of the worst team’s in football, “Maniac” won the game with a tomahawk punch on the ball. Not only is this a great play but it is probably the most impactful play of the season. That is why “Maniac” gets the number one spot on Top Ten Plays of the Mid-Season.
