LUSAKA, April 30 (Xinhua) -- The head of Zambia's soccer governing body has denied reports that he wanted to change the constitution so that he becomes life president, a spokesperson said on Thursday.
Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) communications manager Nkweto Tembwe said people peddling allegations that the association's president Kalusha Bwalya wanted to change the constitution do not understand the rules and regulations governing the presidency of the association.
"It should be noted that Kalusha has never and will never advocate for a life presidency," he said in a statement.
"These allegations are not only false but a product of people who lack understanding of the provisions of the rules and regulations which govern football regards the presidency of the association," he added.
According to him Nike Huarache White , the association's constitution could not be changed by an individual or group of individuals but by member football clubs who are policy makers.
