Azeglio Vicini Frank White Jersey , who coached Italy to a third-place finish as host of the 1990 World Cup, has died. He was 84.
The Italian soccer federation said Wednesday that Vicini died in his hometown of Brescia, without providing further details.
Vicini coached Italy from 1986-91 and also guided the Azzurri to the semifinals of the 1988 European Championship.
During the 1990 World Cup, Italy’s only loss was a penalty shootout defeat to Argentina and Diego Maradona in the semifinals.
”He was a man who was hugely important for my footballing life,” said Salvatore ”Toto” Schillaci, who won the Golden Shoe award at the 1990 World Cup with a tournament-high six goals.
”He made me known all around the world. He believed in me and if I am what I am, 80 percent of the merit belongs to coach Vicini Kelvin Herrera Jersey ,” Schillaci added. ”I hope the football world remembers him like he deserves to be remembered. He was a coach from another era, a real professional, and the advice he gave me was fatherly.”
The federation said that a moment of silence will be observed to mourn Vicini before Wednesday’s Italian Cup semifinal match between AC Milan and Lazio, and before all Serie A matches this weekend.

NANJING, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- Police in east China's Nanjing City arrested 12 people Thursday, including the boss of an online financial firm, for illegally obtaining money.
Zhang Xiaolei Paulo Orlando Jersey , who was the controller of Qbao, and 11 other suspects have been arrested on charges of illegally siphoning off public money, police in Jiangbei new district in Nanjing said.
Zhang founded Qbao in 2012 and used it as a platform to accumulate money given by creditors, who were lured by large interest returns as high as 60 percent, police said.
Qbao was found to have amassed huge amounts of money, police said, without specifying numbers.

LOS ANGELES, May 15 (Xinhua) -- B.B. King, whose velvety voice and touching guitar skills made him widely regarded as the acme of American blues, died in Las Vegas, Nevada Mike Moustakas Jersey , Thursday night at the age of 89.
His youngest daughter Claudette King confirmed his death. The cause of death was not released. It is reported that he died during sleep.
The news came after King moved back to home with hospice care after treating in hospital last month due to diabetes-related dehydration.

B.B. King was born Riley B. King on a plantation near Indianola, Mississippi Alcides Escobar Jersey , on Sept.16, 1925. His parents separated when he was four, and his mother died when he was nine, leaving him to be brought up by his maternal grandmother. King dropped out of school in the tenth grade and earned a living picking cotton.
