The decision for who will appear on HBO’s Hard Knocks program is turning

into a game of hot potato. NFL rules provide that five teams cannot turn down the show: the 49ers Kyle Juszczyk Jersey , Raiders, Giants, Lions, and Washington. And each day brings another team trying to convince HBO they should choose somebody else.49ers GM John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan both made it very clear at the end of the season that they have no interest in being on the show. Earlier this week, the Jets have informed their media members they have no interest in being on the show. Additionally, the Detroit Lions have made it clear they don’t want to be involved. GM Bob Quinn talked about the disadvantages it brings, and head coach Matt Patricia jokingly suggested the Raiders should be the choice.I have not seen anything from the Raiders or Washington, but at some point they will have something for the record. I would not be surprised if Gruden and Mayock were down for it given their media history. Given the other teams not interested, the Raiders are my guess for who ends up on Hard Knocks. The NFL went into a flurry late Tuesday night with the trades of New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs pass rusher Dee Ford going to none other than the San Francisco 49ers. There were reports that the Cleveland Browns may be interested, but there wasn’t any concrete deals coming out. Could the 49ers swing back in? Wow, that’d be something wouldn’t it? Kwon Alexander, Dee Ford, and Earl Thomas. Say what you want about Alexander, that would be a decent haul in free agency. Also Bradley Roby, who was in talks with the 49ers, is going to the Houston Texans on a one-year deal. The 49ers were definitely putting him on a prove-it deal like they have with other cornerbacks like Richard Sherman, sounds like they couldn’t agree on anything.
