However, Prosise was a full go at practice on Thursday and he figures to get a heavy workload on Saturday against the LA Chargers.With rookie Rashaad Penny recovering from a broken finger, the top two backs on Saturday look to be Chris Carson and Prosise. With Seattle having a fair idea of what they have in Carson and not wanting him to be added to the injury list too, Prosise should see plenty of first half snaps. On one hand that puts him more in harm’s way Mychal Kendricks Jersey , and on the other, harm’s way is just something Prosise will never be able to avoid if he’s going to become a regular time professional football player.As a rookie, Prosise had 30 carries for 172 yards and 17 catches for 208 yards in six games. Last season was a lot less exciting, with Prosise getting 11 carries for 23 yards and six catches for 87 in five games. By most accounts, Prosise should be the number three back to start the season against the Denver Broncos should Penny be ready to go by then. We all know that there’s a higher-than-normal probability that Prosise won’t be healthy at that (or maybe any) point, but that is also not a good reason to just cast a very talented player who costs virtually nothing by NFL standards aside. Taking emotion out of it, is typically dynamic enough to warrant a spot on the roster and his versatility could also make him available to take the field even when Carson or Penny are also on the field; as a former receiver, it’s possible that Prosise could take snaps out wide in certain circumstances.The question is whether or not he deserves more playing time than J.D. McKissic and Mike Davis, but it’s telling that when he’s healthy, Pete Carroll seems to prefer Prosise.
