Celebrating Michael Jordan’s legacy with a shout-out to Chicago’s 312 area code, the Air Jordan Legacy 312 Black combines iconic element of the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 1, and the Alpha Force. This low-top iteration of the shoe arrives in the classic “Chicago” color scheme dressed in a mix of Summit White, University Red, and Black. The shoe features a leather upper with elephant print overlays on the heel with a midfoot strap for a secure fit. Visible Air-Sole unit in the heel atop an AJ3-inspired outsole completes the design.
The Air Jordan Legacy 312 Low comes dressed in a predominantly white leather upper, with a purple strap at the bottom of the laces. Teal rounds off the shoe at the collar, bringing highlights to the branding on the strap and tongue as well as the suede Swooshes. The iconic elephant print can be found running along the midfoot, with “Volt” accents by the heel counter and outsole as well as the Jumpman logo by the heel.
The Air Jordan Legacy 312 Low variant may be the best look seen on the Don C collaborative silhouette, with this forthcoming colorway doing up what the first few did well with a surprising departure away from traditional schemes. Though the iconic elephant print squeezes its way in along the heel counter, the rest of the tooling opts for a light visage unlike any other. Versatile tones paint the mudguard and toe boxes, swapping in and out between hits of grey, white, and black. A yellowed midsole adds in vintage flair, matching perfectly with the overall kit’s lighter appearance, while Fire Red iconography along the tongue break up the sea of neutrals.
Following a first look at the Air Jordan Legacy 312 Desert Camo colorway earlier in the week, the silhouette has been matched by a lighter iteration dubbed “Pale Vanilla.” The Don C-designed hybrid model features a cream leather upper with contrasting black accents on its inner lining, tongue, laces and midfoot strap. Aside from the aforementioned upper, its sail midsole continues the model’s light-colored theme in addition to yellow touches towards the heel and on its branding throughout. Lastly, the heel’s expected elephant print detailing is substituted with smooth suede for an added dimension to the shoe’s textures.
