Upon release, the Nike Air Max Thea Mujer quickly 4 itself into the milieu of hospitality girls. Seen on cafe floors and under aprons, the shoe is recognised as the barista’s beater, however, colourways like this are set to elevate the Thea from a side-shoe to a feature that barista baes won’t be spoiling with excess coffee beans. This Thea is sprayed with a very goldy bronze that on first glance looks like vinyl painted on the knitted toebox. Sail material that very likely is vinyl contrasts the resplendent bronze with sleek black and emphasises the black that adds depth to the bronze knit.
After all that huffin’ and puffin’ from the fellas, Nike finally answered the call for a mens edition similar to the low-format of the Nike Air Max Thea Baratas, dropping the Air Max Tavas. Time will tell whether it can topple its female counterpart, but when the Thea keeps arriving in such crucial colourways as this black and white flip-up, we don’t see that happening anytime soon! Ladies, you know these will fly off the shelves fast so hit Overkill right now to secure your pair before they’re all gone!
The cushy Nike Air Max Ultra SEs are growing in number, with the latest being this padded ‘Pure Platinum/Wolf Grey’ Nike Air Max 90 Mujer. This edition has a dazzling Pure Platinum on the Swoosh, with Wolf Grey hugging the mudguard. Pops of a light teal round out the colourway, showing on the plastic eyelet coverings and around the Air bubble.
The latest variation to join the Nike Air Max 90 Mujer Baratas, the Ultra SE, has begun to hit retailers. One of the first colourways for the cushy new model is this no-nonsense black and white make-up. The multi-density foam upper is rendered in jet black and complemented by a midsole, Swoosh and eyelets in contrasting pure white. If it were the mid-2000s, this shoe would undoubtedly be branded a ‘Venom’ colourway, after the Marvel Comics anti-hero, but, when a pair of 90s looks this clean, no contrived nickname is necessary to prove them worthy of your hard-earned dollars.
We on an Ultra Light “Infrared’ beam! The colourway that launched a thousand camp chairs has touched down on a Nike Air Max 90 Hombre Baratas, and as Chancelor says ‘You can’t mess with the light’. The ‘SE’ in this edition hasn’t been wholly defined yet. ‘Sporting Edition’ would be the go-to backronym to assign the shoe, but, even though the ‘Ultra’ connotes performance, something about the puffy overlays make this shoe seem more at home on Bibendum than any athlete (Bibendum would, however, look like an absolute G in these). We’re vibing them, that’s for sure.
The Nike Air Max 90 Ultra SE in ‘Infrared’ doesn’t have a set release date at the moment, but rumours are flying that it will drop sometime in July
