Amateur stars Rob Cross and Barry Lynn will take on the worlds top two darts players - Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson - in the Coral UK Open fourth round after winning through Fridays early stages in Minehead. Hastings-based electrician Cross, one of the 32 Rileys Amateur Qualifiers who won through nationwide knockouts to secure places alongside the 96 professional qualifiers, won three matches on the day to secure a dream clash with Van Gerwen.Cross defeated Canadas Ken MacNeil, former UK Open finalist Wes Newton and Dutchman Jeffrey De Graaf to seal a last-32 spot, and said: Im gobsmacked that Im still here, but Im very excited. Im absolutely over the moon. Ive played some quality darts today and Im looking forward to tomorrow. Its the biggest event Ive ever played in and Ive handled the nerves and really enjoyed it.Its been out of this world and I feel comfortable when Im playing. Hopefully it carries on - Im not worried, Ive got to go up there and try to produce a decent game to try and win.Reigning UK Open champion Van Gerwen showed his class with two 170 checkouts in his 9-2 victory over Ryan Harrington, who had won through to the third round in Minehead for a second successive year before coming up against the in-form Dutch superstar.I had some good finishes and its nice to get the first game out of the way, said Van Gerwen. Im in the tournament now and I feel really comfortable. Im playing really well and I want to play better than this in the next round.Essexs Lynn, meanwhile, followed up wins over Dean Stewart and Brett Claydon in the afternoon session by defeating former World Grand Prix finalist Brendan Dolan 9-6 as he sealed a spot in the last 32 - where he now meets world champion Gary Anderson.Anderson, though, had to overcome some nervy moments as he hit back from 7-5 down to defeat Dave Chisnall 9-7, winning the final four legs without reply after his opponent had taken out a superb 138 to move two legs clear.Five-time UK Open champion Phil Taylor also had to overcome stiff opposition before sealing a fourth-round spot, with former World Youth champion Arron Monk coming from 5-3 down to level before missing one dart to move ahead in leg 11.Taylor pounced and took four legs in a row to progress, only to draw two-time UK Open champion Raymond van Barneveld in a huge fourth-round contest after the Dutchman earlier produced an 11-dart finish in the deciding leg of his tight battle with youngster David Pallett.2014 UK Open champion Adrian Lewis swept past Cumbrias Tony Newell 9-1 and now plays John Henderson, who defeated Swedens Magnus Caris 9-4.Two-time UK Open winner James Wade, though, crashed out 9-2 to Austrias Mensur Suljovic, who has been a quarter-finalist in this event in the past two years and now takes on Dutch youngster Ryan De Vreede, who defeated Nathan Derry, Andrew Gilding and Josh Payne on Friday. The two beaten finalists in the 2014 and 2015 UK Opens, Terry Jenkins and Peter Wright, will meet in the fourth round after their respective wins over Steve Beaton and Ronny Huybrechts.First-round results:Wes Newton 6-4 Mark CoxRonny Huybrechts 6-3 Mark RiceAlex Roy 6-1 Dennis SmithJermaine Wattimena 6-5 Andy SmithAndy Boulton 6-4 Lee GrimshawWilliam OConnor 6-1 Mark JodrillMagnus Caris 6-5 Jason MoldNathan Aspinall 6-4 Mick McGowanKevin Dowling 6-2 Dick van DijkJonathan Worsley 6-1 Curtis TurnerArron Monk 6-3 Stewart RattrayBarry Lynn 6-4 Dean StewartBen Green Bye (Jason Hogg eliminated)Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-3 Michael McFallHarry Ward 6-3 Alan TabernPaul Hogan 6-3 Daniel DayMark Barilli 6-1 Darren LaydenJonny Clayton 6-2 Ian McFarlaneRyan De Vreede 6-3 Nathan DerryDarren Webster 6-0 Lee MorrisMark Frost 6-0 Andy BrownJoe Murnan 6-2 Paul WhitworthAndrew Davidson 6-5 Jan DekkerSteve Maish 6-5 Jason HeaverMark Wilson Bye (Les Delderfield eliminated)Dean Winstanley 6-5 John ScottPaul Milford 6-1 Chris JonesScott Marsh 6-1 Steven RoseGary Stone 6-5 Johnny HainesRob Cross 6-3 Ken MacNeilRyan Harrington 6-1 Glen McGrandleJosh Payne 6-2 Dave ParlettiSecond round:Jeffrey de Graaf 6-5 William OConnorLee Evans 6-2 Rowby-John RodriguezArron Monk 6-4 Robert ThorntonDean Winstanley 6-4 Kevin PainterMatt Clark 6-5 Mike De DeckerJoey Ten Berge 6-5 Mark DudbridgeBrendan Dolan 6-3 Scott MarshRyan Harrington 6-4 Darron BrownJamie Caven 6-2 Gary StoneMark Frost 6-4 Mark BarilliRobbie Green 6-3 Yordi MeeuwisseRonny Huybrechts 6-4 Jay ForemanAndy Jenkins 6-5 Wayne JonesSteve Maish 6-4 Paul MilfordJosh Payne 6-1 Harry WardDarren Webster 6-2 Scott DaleRichie Corner 6-5 Berry van PeerAlex Roy 6-5 Jeffrey de ZwaanBarry Lynn 6-4 Brett ClaydonAndrew Davidson 6-4 Cristo ReyesMatthew Edgar 6-4 Mark WilsonDavid Pallett 6-1 Jason MarriottJames Wilson 6-3 Jonny ClaytonRob Cross 6-4 Wes NewtonJoe Murnan 6-4 Ritchie EdhouseDirk van Duijvenbode 6-4 Peter HudsonJermaine Wattimena 6-1 Kevin DowlingMagnus Caris 6-3 Ben GreenAndy Boulton 6-2 Jonathan WorsleyRyan De Vreede 6-5 Andrew GildingTony Newell 6-1 Paul HoganStuart Kellett 6-5 Nathan AspinallThird round:Adrian Lewis 9-1 Tony NewellPhil Taylor 9-5 Arron MonkGary Anderson 9-7 Dave ChisnallMichael van Gerwen 9-2 Ryan HarringtonAlan Norris 9-7 Jermaine WattimenaSimon Whitlock 9-6 Ian WhiteMark Webster 9-3 Matthew EdgarPeter Wright 9-5 Steve BeatonJoe Cullen 9-1 Mark FrostJames Wilson 9-3 Rene EidamsStuart Kellett 9-7 Joey Ten BergeRicky Evans 9-5 Andy BoultonRyan De Vreede 9-5 Josh PayneDirk van Duijvenbode 9-5 Robbie GreenRaymond van Barneveld 9-8 David PallettJelle Klaasen 9-6 Matt ClarkVincent van der Voort 9-3 Dean WinstanleyRob Cross 9-8 Jeffrey de GraafJamie Caven 9-7 Lee EvansTerry Jenkins 9-7 Ronny HuybrechtsDarren Webster 9-5 Andrew DavidsonMensur Suljovic 9-2 James WadeKim Huybrechts 9-1 Steve MaishStephen Bunting 9-8 Jamie LewisJustin Pipe 9-6 Alex RoyJoe Murnan 9-8 Gerwyn PriceKyle Anderson 9-2 Andy HamiltonBarry Lynn 9-6 Brendan DolanBenito van de Pas 9-7 Mervyn KingMichael Smith 9-8 Daryl GurneyJohn Henderson 9-4 Magnus CarisAndy Jenkins 9-5 Richie CornerFourth-round draw:Benito van de Pas v Simon WhitlockPeter Wright v Terry JenkinsMichael van Gerwen v Rob CrossPhil Taylor v Raymond van BarneveldJamie Caven v Stephen BuntingVincent van der Voort v Andy JenkinsAdrian Lewis v John HendersonGary Anderson v Barry LynnJoe Cullen v Alan NorrisMark Webster v Dirk van DuijvenbodeMichael Smith v Stuart KellettJoe Murnan v Jelle KlaasenKim Huybrechts v Justin PipeKyle Anderson v James WilsonRicky Evans v Darren WebsterMark Webster v Dirk van Duijvenbode Also See: Sky Bets darts odds On Sky TV Schedule/Results Features Get Sky Sports Deividas Sirvydis Pistons Jersey . The 19-year-old Olsen played 34 games with the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL this season. In that time, hes recorded 17 goals and 17 assists with 36 penalty minutes. Five years since paying for his own air fare to the UK so he could represent Wales in the Four Nations, life has moved on considerably for Tyson Frizell. After reporting back for pre-season training with St George Illawarra late last year, the former Australian rugby schoolboys international, was merely hoping for an injury-free season following back surgery.Fast forward 12 months, and the barnstorming back-rower has not only played for NSW but is on the cusp of winning a third international cap for Australia in Saturdays crucial Four Nations clash against New Zealand. The unassuming 25-year-old also re-signed with the Dragons until 2020 and admits hes achieved more than he ever could have hoped for.Every player has their targets at the start of the season, Origin was probably something I hoped could happen, Frizell told AAP.I never in a million years thought Id be playing for Australia. It was only a suspension imposed on Wade Graham by the NRL judiciary that opened the door for Frizell to play for NSW in games two and three. Two all-action displays that yielded tries in each game impressed Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga enough to selecct him in the PMs XIII to face PNG in September and the Four Nations.ddddddddddddIts all a far cry from his first taste of international action with the Welsh team in 2011 where his side were on the back of a 42-4 loss to England followed up by a 36-0 humbling at the hands of New Zealand at Wembley Stadium.I was just a young player making my way in the game and the players, whod Id never met before, made me so welcome they were great.Lee Briers was the captain, and I didnt realise he was such a massive player in the Super League. He was a real character. He was a very talented footballer. In training he was very professional but off the field he knew how to enjoy himself, he was great fun. Some of the boys were reminding me of the game we played against Australia that year.I missed it through injury but the Welsh boys were really up for it. We were 10-0 up after about 10 minutes but then the Aussies put 50 on us.I never could have imagined then that I would playing alongside guys like Cam (Smith) and JT. ' ' '
