Umfragen&Sonstiges » Traditional Japanese meals or snacks?

Simple, traditional Japanese meals or snacks? My friend will be home on leave in a week or so and I'd like to mimic a meal like his grandma would make. Since she's from Japan, he's spoiled on traditional foods and hasn't had any since he went into the military. Any ideas about tokyo snack box Website? :)
