CDTShareTweetShareShareBears 2019 free agency tracker: News, signings, cuts, and more Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports(3/13/2119) - Free agency will officially start today at 3pm Chicago time, so the deals already leaked should be made official at some point. The Bears still have most of that Mack money that they converted sitting around, so where will they spend it? My guess is at safety and outside linebacker. Keep it locked here as we’ll update this tracker all week long. (3/12/2019) - The Bears have added a running back and a nickleback on day one of the early negotiating period of free agency, and with some of Khalil Mack’s salary converted to a signing bonus, the Bears seem like they are ramping up for at least one big move. (3/11/2019) - The Chicago Bears aren’t likely to big players in the 2019 NFL free agency frenzy. But with a couple of in-house starters coming out of contract and a starter rumored to be on the trade block, we’re sure to get our fair share of rumors. The early negotiation window will open at 11 a.m. today (Central time), so some agreed upon deals could be leaked at any time, keep in mind nothing can be official until Wednesday, March 13 at 3:00 (Central) when the 2019 league year starts. Getting awarded compensatory draft picks is something the Bears could have in mind when dealing with their own free agents and when deciding to add a street free agent or a player coming out of contract. Jagaurs’ Tashaun Gipson has been a popular rumored name for the Bears to replace Adrian Amos as the recently cut Jaguar would not count against the Bears in the compensatory pick formula. EDIT: Gipson has signed with the Texans. The latest rumor making the rounds is that the Bears are looking into adding running back Mark Ingram. Saints beat reporter Sean Fazende has the Bears, Saints Womens Tom Waddle Jersey , Ravens, Packers and Lions as teams that plan to talk with the 29-year old.
