The Seattle Seahawks have waived wide receiver Gary Jennings L.J. Collier Jersey , who was a fourth-round draft pick of the team this spring, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.com.Jennings was not in the team’s locker room on Wednesday and did not take part in practice. With Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest reporting that Seattle was promoting safety Adrian Colbert from their practice squad to ward off other teams interested in signing Colbert to their active rosters, it quickly became apparent that Jennings could be the corresponding move.Jennings was the 120th overall pick in the NFL Draft. He lost time during offseason workouts due to a hamstring injury and was stuck down the depth chart. He was inactive for each of the first three games of the season as Seattle has carried seven receivers on their active roster through the first three weeks. The return of David Moore to the lineup last Sunday from a fractured humerus made it even more unlikely he would be on the 46-man active game day roster in the near future.Colbert was a seventh-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2017. Head coach Pete Carroll spoke glowingly of Colbert when they added him to their practice squad last week.“We’ve had our eye on him for a couple years and this was a great job by John [Schneider] and Nolan [Teasley] and the guys that kept track of him to get him in the program,” Carroll said. “We really think he’s got great potential. He’s really fast, he’s really tough.“He’s just one of those guys to me that demonstrates the kind of energy that we really like when we play. He loves to run and hit now. He’s really fast, running four-threes. He’s 211 pounds yesterday. Big kid. Strong kid. He’s kind of spirit about him, too. He kind of fired me up.”Colbert appeared in 21 games with 12 starts for the 49ers over the past two seasons. He racked up 58 tackles with six passes defended and two forced fumbles. A hamstring injury during training camp led to his placement on injured reserve before being waived with an injury settlement. The Seahawks added cornerback Linden Stephens to their practice squad to fill the spot created by Colbert’s promotion to the active roster. UNDEFEATED NO MORE, 49ERS!!!The Seattle Seahawks (8-2) got off to a horrible start against the San Francisco 49ers (8-1), took over in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, gave up an 11-point lead in the 4th quarter, survived four turnovers, including a Russell Wilson interception in overtime, and won on the final play of overtime thanks to a game-winning field goal by Jason Myers. Chase McLaughlin had his chance to win it in overtime but he missed his first kick of the night, which summed up how wild this OVERTIME was, let alone the whole damn game.Seattle’s defense, outside of the rocky start, had its best game of the season. Jadeveon Clowney was a freak and a menace in the backfield, getting a sack and a fumble return touchdown. The team recorded five sacks and three takeaways of Jimmy Garoppolo, and held the vaunted 49ers rushing attack in check. Wilson didn’t have his best game but he went 24/34 for 239 yards, a touchdown Ugo Amadi Jersey , an interception, and 53 crucial yards rushing.What. A. Game. 1st HalfThe 49ers had the opening drive and were aided by several Seahawks penalties, including a third-down illegal contact on Jamar Taylor that negated a Shaquill Griffin interception. Luckily, the Seahawks defense minimized the damage by holding San Francisco to a field goal by rookie Chase McLaughlin. 3-0 49ers.Seattle’s first offensive drive went three-and-out, with DJ Jones getting a sack on Russell Wilson on 3rd and 2. RIP Joey Hunt. After an outstanding punt by Michael Dickson, the 49ers offense ran roughshod on the Seahawks defense. Jimmy Garoppolo capped off a 7-play, 83-yard drive with a ten-yard touchdown toss to Kendrick Bourne, who easily beat Jamar Taylor on a slant. 10-0 49ers.The two teams traded three-and-outs, and just when a couple of completions and a Wilson scramble put Seattle in field goal range...Seattle’s offense couldn’t score, but the defense was able to get them on the board thanks to a strip-sack by Jarran Reed. Garoppolo fumbled and Jadeveon Clowney scooped and scored. 10-7 49ers.A three-and-out by the 49ers and a short field gave the Seahawks the chance to take the lead. Unfortunately, DK Metcalf’s strong man moves on a quick screen saw him fumble at the 2-yard line. Jaquiski Tartt made a phenomenal play to rip the ball away and deny him a touchdown. That was so unfortunate but also a great strip by Tartt.2nd HalfInstead of scoring on either side of halftime, the Seahawks opted to lose fumbles on either side of the break. Rashaad Penny got stripped of the ball and the 49ers recovered, but luckily San Francisco didn’t get any points. They went for it on 4th and 2 at the SEA 33 and Jimmy G threw an incomplete pass.In a huge turn of events, Jimmy G had an open Kendrick Bourne but he overshot him and threw an interception to new Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs. He returned it all the way inside San Francisco’s 20. Chris Carson nearly gave the ball back with his umpteenth fumble of the season, but Wilson responded with a scramble to the 3-yard line and this ridiculous touchdown toss to Jacob Hollister. 14-10 Seahawks.Garoppolo turned it over again, as Clowney and Jarran Reed were on scene, with Jadeveon getting the strip sack and Poona Ford getting the recovery.Three plays later, Chris Carson punched it in from a yard out to extend the lead. 21-10 Seahawks. The defense, which looked so out of sorts to start the game, was dominating San Francisco as the game progressed. Pass rush was getting home Mychal Kendricks Jersey , the run defense was stout, and the secondary was doing its job......But then the offense gave the 49ers life with Wilson getting sacked (and facemasked), Germain Ifedi recovering the fumble, and then he fumbled and DeForest Buckner scooped and scored. The two-point conversion was good, making a crazy game 21-18 Seahawks.Seattle went three-and-out straight after that series. The 49ers were rejuvenated and quickly marched down the field, but a critical sack by Al Woods and then a drop by Kendrick Bourne (which was nearly picked off by Tre Flowers) forced San Francisco to settle for a tying field goal. 21-21.On the next drive, the Seahawks were faced with 3rd and 1 and Chris Carson narrowly got the conversion. Faced with 3rd and 6, Josh Gordon made a clutch catch for 13 yards on the slant on what was his first target of the game to put Seattle on the cusp of field goal range near the two-minute warning.Three Chris Carson runs got them 9 yards but not a first down. After considering going for it, they wasted their last timeout and sent out Jason Myers for a 46-yarder. GOOD! 24-21 Seahawks with 1:45 left.First pass by Jimmy G... NEARLY INTERCEPTED BY K.J. WRIGHT! NO!!!! 2nd and 10 is incomplete. An offside on 3rd and 10 made it 3rd and 5, which they converted to Ross Dwelley. Bobby Wagner broke up the 1st and 10 pass. Tevin Coleman caught a checkdown to get into Seattle territory. A screen to Coleman gained 6 yards to the Seattle 43. Coleman got a first down to the 37 but stayed in bounds, forcing them to call their last timeout with :18 to go. Deebo Samuel got to the 29 and they spiked the ball with :06 to go. Chase McLaughlin to force overtime... good. 24-24 and overtime for a second straight week and a 2nd straight year in Santa Clara.Listen to the Seaside Reactions podcast, an instant reaction podcast after every Seahawks game!OvertimeSeahawks won the coin toss and started at the 25. Malik Turner got a quick pass for seven yards. Deep ball to DK Metcalf was broken up. A slant to Josh Gordon gained 15 yards as he beat Richard Sherman. Chris Carson dropped the next pass. An in the grasp sack cost them six yards. On 3rd and 16, Wilson spun out of pressure and found Malik Turner for an AMAZING conversion and spin to the 32 of San Francisco! UNREAL! Jacob Hollister mustered his way to the 18 on a mini-scramble drill by Wilson. Chris Carson plowed ahead for five yards on 1st and 10. Wilson then gets picked off by Dre Greenlaw on a wheel route for Jacob Hollister. And it was returned to Seattle territory. 3rd and 7 at the Seattle 46, Jimmy G found Raheem Mostert for the 1st down. Mostert gained 7 yards to put them into field goal range. Clowney stuffed Mostert on the next play. 3rd and short is stopped short and on came McLaughlin for the win from 47 out... SHANKED!!!!!! HE MISSED IT BADLY!!!With under three minutes to go, Chris Carson gained seven yards to his own 43. Carson got stuff on 2nd and 3. Metcalf couldn’t catch a 3rd and 2 pass and they opted to punt.Three straight incomplete passes by Jimmy G gave the Seahawks the ball back. Clutch 3rd down stop by Shaquill Griffin on a deep shot to Deebo Samuel! David Moore fielded the punt and he was tackled at his own 36 with 1:25 to go.No timeouts buy 40 yards or so to get into winning FG range. A checkdown to Carson only gained 3 yards. Jacob Hollister slid and only gained 3 more yards on a catch that led him out of bounds. Big scramble by WIlson on 3rd and 3 for 21 yards to the 49ers’ 39! Clock ticking under a minute. DK Metcalf quick out to the 31 with the clock still running. First down run for Chris Carson to the 24, setting up Jason Myers for the win from 42 yards out... GOOD! OH NO THE 49ERS CALLED TIMEOUT!!!
