The adidas superstar foundation trainers was the recent recipient of a new Boost tooling, but this wouldn’t be the first time that the three stripes have tinkered with the 80s icon. The adidas Superstar Slip-On introduced the classic shell-toe to a neoprene slip-on upper with Qasa-inspired overlay straps, and White Mountaineering is making the branding even more apparent with the addition of three stripes cross-hatching atop either a Collegiate Navy or Core Black base.

Earlier this week adidas officially announce an update to the flagship Superstar model with integrated Boost technology called the adidas superstar 2 black white gold. Quietly a completely redesigned Superstar model featuring Bounce and Primeknit technology started arriving at retailers this weekend. While the Superstar Boost keeps most of the original architecture of the shoe, the Superstar Bounce gets a brand new sole and a Primeknit upper. The shelltoe is kept nearly intact but with out it this can very much be a whole new model. But then it would loose all of the heritage that comes with the classic Superstar.
