I perform RS3 but lurk quite frequently on the OSRS subreddit. I think that the biggest problem with implementing something similar to our passing mechanics in your game right now is that the absence of a training mode in your elevated level PvM encounters. We can go do our greatest level things in OSRS gold a clinic setting (so no death costs, however no loot possibly ) where you cant. Without a system like this set up, it gets your passing system far more punishing for students. Advocate with our Deaths Office, I believe that its a fantastic addition in tandem for a clinic system.
I think that it's quite balanced. When I was learning rs3 as a minimal level, the death costs were negligible since lower tiered gear has minimum death expenses. Plus when the cost was a problem at the reduced tiers (so essentially no degradable gear) you still could get your stuff for free at the gravestone. Now that I'm learning higher level pvm (vorago, nex solo, telos) the death costs are much higher (approximately 1.5-2m+ rs3 (roughly 300k-400k osrs predicated on bond prices) minus the ring of passing ) nevertheless, being higher level, I could easily pay that sort of money since an hour at gwd2 will readily pay lots of passing prices for higher finished pvm. I think OSRS could benefit from a system that is similar. It punishment for RuneScape players, however higher when you learn higher finished pvm that's okay because if you're doing high degree pvm, you should have access to money making approaches to easily pay for it.
I believe it's amazing. Losing them is crazy when end game items can cost a few months worth of farming gold. It was fine back when rune had been bis and you could grind back it but end game things that are permently only sucks. I never did harmful PVM before for failing while learning was significant because the punishment. Now it is only pay some GP and return into RuneScape game. Death costs so you should not ever be billed so much you can not afford it, but enough to make you want to steer clear of deaths so as not to ruin your own profits ramp up with your gear cost. Additionally, it is a gold sink that is decent.
I believe the option and Departure's office is best for you men. Low degree RuneScape players recover for free and can run back to the tomb. I still don't get Jagex stuck with the older reclaimation program with ToB Hydra, and whatnot. A flat fee will underpunish veteran pvmers but overpunish learners and force them to use equipment that is expensive. The one issue with RS3's system is double graving would delete al things in your 1st grave. This would not be the case for you men. Not sure if this really is a issue, but graves in RS3 disappear much faster than 15 minutes.
It's 1:45 for the gravestone and up to moments to your one. So understand your path back to get there on time and you need to have teleports prepared. But unlike OSRS, RS3 has slower run energy depletion rates teleports, lodestones, and movement abilities to make getting faster. And there is Ring of Death that takes a 15% off its charge and it lets you maintain your familiar. This ring is recharged by cheap RS gold A cut onyx. However, they simply cost 1.8m which is overly cheap IMO.
