ROME Derek Barnett Eagles Jersey , Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Italy's Prime Minister Enrico Letta on Wednesday called for support of European states for a positive solution to the case of two Italian marines detained in India for allegedly killing two fishermen while on an anti-piracy mission.


"We want the marines case to finish soon, as soon as possible," Letta was quoted as saying by ANSA news agency.


The remarks came after Letta's talks with President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso in Brussels.
