RABAT， March 16 (Xinhua) -- The secretary general of Morocco's Islamist ruling Justice and Development Party (PJD)， Abdelilah Benkirane， said here on Thursday that his party will give its final answer on his replacement as prime minister on Saturday.


After more than five months without a government， Morocco's King Mohammed VI decided late on Wednesday to appoint another PM from PJD to form a new government.


Benkirane decided to deal "positively" with the king's decision， he told the press following the party's leadership meeting.


The final decision will be taken in a "democratic" way during the meeting of the party's national assembly， the parliament， on Saturday.


While the name of the PJD member has not yet been revealed， the statement said the king will receive this individual soon and will task him with forming a new government.


The landmark announcement came as Morocco's 2011 constitution says nothing on the question of a prime minister-designate being unable to form a majority.


The constitution only says that the king appoints PM from within the political party arriving ahead in the elections of the members of the Chamber of Representatives.
